Waterproof MP3 Players

To many of us, it’s a nightmare we know is all too real, a nightmare that sees our favorite MP3 players, whether from our pockets, our bags, or our hands, coming into contact with all electronic devices’ arch-nemesis, water! It may come from a car running over a puddle, mother nature suddenly unleashing rain, a trusted friend who just decides to be funny and push us into the pool out of nowhere, or just forgetting to take the device out of the pocket when laundry day comes. Regardless of the scenario, it all ends in having a soaked, most of the time, broken MP3 player.

Usually, this means the end of the MP3 player, which in turn means the end of enjoying music from that particular device. This is because most popular MP3 players are so advanced, yet so delicate, that they can’t last being in contact with water for more than a couple of seconds. This means that, as popular as these MP3 players are, they aren’t suited for people with more active lifestyles, lifestyles that bring them to close proximity of the water.

The answer to this is to get any of the many waterproof MP3 players on the market today. The waterproof player may seem like it’s just for a certain kind of customer, but its not, because over the years it has been developed to have the same appearance, performance, and appeal of traditional MP3 players, resulting in a boom in popularity to many music lovers worldwide. And these include even the people who don’t even find themselves listening to music near water, and just want a device that can weather the elements.

Waterproof players were developed after the creation of waterproof cases for the other MP3 players available. This wasn’t permanent protection, due to the players being at risk once the case is opened, in addition to some cases developing leaks over time. And this is unacceptable, especially for park rangers who cross rivers and streams, athletes who love jogging around the pool, swimmers and surfers who just can’t get out of the waves, hikers who also love to fish, and many more.

Waterproof players can easily keep out moisture and water, with some even capable of being submerged, and still play underwater. This kind of capability comes at a price, however, with costs ranging anywhere between $90 for a 2GB waterproof player, and $150 for a 1GB waterproof player that can be submerged. If you’re a water person, however, who still wants to enjoy good music, then these players are definitely for you.
