The Movie Ocean’s Eleven

Las Vegas is known to be the gambling capital of the world. It is where big and small time gamblers, hopefuls and people who are looking for fast cash and a night of luck are gathered. Las Vegas is a place lined up with hotels and big time casinos that glitter and shine in the night. Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps. It is some peoples dream to win it big in Vegas.

The movie Ocean Eleven is primarily based on the gambling world of Las Vegas. It is a remake of the 1960 film under the same title and is featured by some of Hollywoods noted actors like: Adam Garcia, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Julia Roberts to name a few. The movie started when Danny Ocean (Clooney) fresh out of Parole meet with longtime partner in crime, Rusty (Pitt) to plan another robbing scheme.

They went to their friend and former casino owner Reuben to help them finance the scheme. They agreed to rob three casinos in one night which is owned by Reubens rival Terry Benedict (Garcia). They then called their former friends in their gang and started to plot the robbing of the casinos. Reuben instructed them to time the plan during the Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko boxing match where casinos are expected to store from up to 150 million USD in their vaults, in preparation for the large crowds who will gather to play and witness the fight.

They succeeded and came home with the money from Benedicts vault. They were all so rich and Reuben finally got back from his rival. The film reminded us all how much money there lies in a casino in Vegas. It also featured the city of Vegas which is in its usual glamour state and brimming with people.

Some people are typically undecided of coming to Vegas and play, whether it is from the doubt which arises if he will win or not. Some on the other hand are more risk takers and took it by chance for who knows; maybe it could just be their lucky night?
