Planning Student Group Travel to New York City

A student group trip is a very memorable time for students, whether high school or college. In New York City, known as the Big Apple, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of venues and attractions from the Empire State Building and the build of the current Freedom Towers to Times Square and Broadway. In New York City students can eat, shop, visit museums and enjoy the diverse culture that the most exciting city in the world has to offer.

Rockefeller Center is home to some of New York City’s famous attractions such as the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, the skating rink, NBC studios. Adjacent to the Rockefeller Center is Radio City Music Hall. Another sight that happens to be a favorite amongst students is the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, where groups can take a tour of a key piece of history.

When people mention the Big Apple, many people automatically think of areas such as the Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park. Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city, it is an oasis that perhaps is one of the most famous parks in the world. Featuring scenic walking and biking trails, plenty of grass for picnicking or playing sports, along with occassional events and concerts. Central Park is a must-see for your student travel and student band groups.

Another iconic spot in New York City is Times Square. This attraction tends to be another favorite amongst student travel groups. Times Square is full the massive digital billboards, neon lights and brightly lit advertisements. It is a beautiful site to see, especially at night. However, Times Square is much more than that. There are plenty of museums, restaurants and shops in that area as well.

Theatre both on and off Broadway is another big attraction in this city. The theaters are a top attraction and musical numbers range from comedies to drama. Taking your groups of students to see a musical on Broadway is truly a once in a lifetime experience for all. Broadway is a great attraction for high school band tours too, since these shows are based on music and performing.

Whatever attractions you and your students decide to visit, New York City is the ideal destination for all of your travel needs. New York City student group tours are sure to offer your students an experience that will last a lifetime.
