On Guitar Hero 3 on xbox live how do you unlock all the characters and guitars?

To Unclock the characters, you have to beat them in a battle in campaign.

And to unlock all the guitars, you have to beat every difficulty and 5 star all songs on every difficulty. You have to also beat the game in co-op.
