Ocean’s Eleven

Las Vegas is Nevadas center of entertainment. It is also known as the gambling capital of the world. Las Vegas is home to the numerous casinos, casino hotels and casino resorts of the world. It is where world-class gamblers and hopefuls of the world meet to have their stroke if good luck. Las Vegas is also home to much awaited boxing tournaments of the world like that of WBC Featherweight Champion Manny Pacquiao and Golden Boy Oscar dela Hoyas last match.

The movie Ocean Eleven is primarily based on the gambling world of Las Vegas. It is a remake of the 1960 film under the same title and is featured by some of Hollywoods noted actors like: Adam Garcia, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Julia Roberts to name a few. The movie started when Danny Ocean (Clooney) fresh out of Parole meet with longtime partner in crime, Rusty (Pitt) to plan another robbing scheme.

The two hurried off then to a friend, wealthy casino owner Reuben and proposed a shady deal. Reuben wanted to get even with his rival Terry Benedict and so decided to finance the duos scheme in return to robbing Benedicts 3 casinos. The duo called off their former partners in crime and planned on how to rob the casino. They were advised by Benedict to time their scheme during the famous Lewis-Wladimir fight where all casinos are reportedly storing up to 150 million USD in their vaults.

They succeeded and came home with the money from Benedicts vault. They were all so rich and Reuben finally got back from his rival. The film reminded us all how much money there lies in a casino in Vegas. It also featured the city of Vegas which is in its usual glamour state and brimming with people.

A lot of people usually are undecided of coming to Vegas and play, whether it is from the doubt which arises if he will win or not. Some people are more risk takers and took it by chance for who knows; maybe it could just be their lucky night?
