New York: Emerging Artists 2009

There is a place for budding artists in this world. Their works of arts have a high chance of being featured in this city’s numerous galleries and art museums. We’re talking about New York. New York is a city known to be brimming with life and art. There is no doubt that the city possesses great talents, the reason behind this is the numerous art galleries and places that are dedicated to artists and art aficionados. Works of art can be seen throughout New York: in the sidewalks, in galleries and even in walkways.

Being an artist requires different line of professions. Some artists are painters, other sculptors while some are musicians. Some artists express their ideas through sculpting, painting and the newest form of art- digital imaging. Whatever medium the artist uses, what’s important is that the idea should be effectively conveyed to the viewer.

Sculptors are artists that work with metal, wood, stone or plaster by creating 3-dimensional shapes out of it. Sculptors are a bit different from painters as they see art in a dimensional and multi ” leveled manner. They have a more life-like approach to their art. They work using chisels and hammers, materials that help them achieved their desired shapes.

Digital imaging is fast becoming to be a popular example of art. It is executed through simple to complex manipulations done on a computer which is aided by software. It is through the aid of the computer and other stylized software that an artist is able to create a work of art without using conventional brushes and paints. A photo can also be improved and enhanced with digital imaging.

There is a competition exhibit in New York, New York City called The Emerging Artists 2009 which will showcase paintings, sculpting and digital images from New Yorks emerging artists.
