Need Help Reading A Guitar Tablature?
I recently started to learn guitar and bought weezers blue album tablature book, and for the most part its self explanatory, but im confused on to play this type of bar
————————–
————————-
–10-10-10-10-10–
————————-
—8—8—8—8—8–
————————-
theres no “x” between the notes which means no muting, but theres also no “0″ which means to play it open, and i guess you could finger pick it, but i don’t think that’s what rivers cuomo did, also, when looking at the actual notation for it, the note is “F” just played at different octaves, but the chord above the bar is “G5″ which i learned to play on the 3rd fret, so if anyone can help me out and tell me how to play it that would be awesome

2nd string, 6th fret
4th string, 3rd fret are same two notes.
see if this website helps
Assuming you are strumming, mute the string in the middle with your first finger. You have to keep your hand more flat across the string to do this. So your first finger has two jobs: 1) ring the 8 on A string, and 2)mute the D string so it does not ring out. That is not a “G5.” It’s two “F” notes.
