Mother’s Day Arts and Crafts
Mothers Day is fast approaching and husbands and kids are looking for gift ideas to give to the special woman in their lives. There are enormous selections that can be found on shops and retail stores that specialize in womens stuffs and accessories. For budget gifts, look no further as there are several of them in craft fairs and festivals. In craft fairs, people sell goods at very low prices. These goods are mostly home made or hand made crafts that are both cheap and charming. The fact that they are home made and did not use factory resources unlike other stuffs are what make them a cheap commodity.
For crafters, there are a lot of craft ideas that would make mothers appreciate them and be happy. A quick project that is not just quick but also easy to make is potpourri doilies. Moms appreciate them for they are very good pieces of decoration for homes and they are fragrant too. To start making one, first thing is to gather the ingredients.
Ingredients for making potpourri doilies are: a set of potpourri (this you can buy at any craft store), a doily (or start to make/ crochet your own!) and a piece of ribbon or raffia to tie. Spread the doily on a flat surface, gather the potpourris at the center of the doily and enclose by wrapping up and tying with the ribbon. These crafts are ideal to hang underneath the void spaces on staircases and on hallways. They can also be great for bringing fragrance in a home by hanging it up on the doorway.
Photo cubes made of Styrofoam are also excellent gift ideas for moms and are very easy to make. Just cut out a few cubes made of Styrofoam and beautify with embellishments and construction/art paper cut-outs. Make a photo insert by cutting off a square acetate film and pasting it onto the face of the cube. The photo cubes are excellent to display on your workstations or kitchen tables.
Catch the nearest craft fairs in your area and see ideal gifts for your moms on Mothers Day!
