Jamplay Guitar Lessons – The Things “Reviews” Leave Out
I think every website that has done a review of Jamplay guitar lessons only tells you the positive things Jamplay has to offer.
But to make an informed decision you have to also know and understand the negative things about Jamplay guitar lessons as well as the good things.
Now, just so you know, Jamplay has some incredible features and are an incredible choice if you want to learn the electric guitar. However, we all know that no product is perfect.
After learning from Jamplay guitar lessons, here are what I perceive as the negatives:
1. Information overload – almost every guitar membership site can be overwhelming because of the pure volume of information. There are literally thousands of videos and lessons and it is easy to get lost.
Jamplay guitar lessons are no different – there is a ton of great content. Stay focused on the lesson plan provided and you should be fine. But make sure not to get too distracted by everything else on the site or you can get lost really fast.
2. The forums – forums are not negative per se because you can learn a lot from other members and get your questions answered. The issue with the forums is that you can spend countless hours reading and writing posts that you don’t do what you are there to do – learn to play the guitar.
Just stay focused on the task at hand and you should be fine.
3. Lack of private instruction – with Jamplay guitar lessons, like all online guitar sites, you do not have private one-on-one instruction.
Let me point out that with Jamplay guitar instructions you can submit questions and have them answered by the teachers, but still, this is not like one-on-one instruction from a private instructor.
This can be a negative if you are the type that needs that hand holding approach with someone guiding you every step of the way. However, there’s a trade-off – with private instruction comes more cost. So, even though you don’t have a private instructor guiding you every step of the way with online guitar instruction, you also only pay a fraction of the cost.
So, before you decide to take the plunge with Jamplay guitar lessons, or any other online guitar lessons, consider the positives, as well as the negatives, before doing so.
