These may be saved as loops or in mp3 format for later usage. What you can also do is use existing loops and manipulate them using the edit function in Garageband. All you need to do is load a loop you want in Garageband, click the edit (scissor button) and from there you can manipulate the drums sounds. After doing this, a neat trick is to slow the tempo of the beat to make it more rappable.
