Fans Will “Self Destruct” If 50 Cent Delays Again
With his unique style, 50 Cent is notably one of the best rap artists of all times. After delaying the release of his latest album, Before I Self Destruct, since Christmas of 2008, fans have been anxiously awaiting this fourth and possibly best album to date.
Many have criticized this rappers work for being too similar to others in the genre. But for those who truly know and understand his unique style and sometimes over the top lyrics, it is more of his social commentary on the world. Music is meant to evoke feelings and his work gets fans and critics excited. Some say that his lyrics go past the point that they should, however most feel that it is just an expression of freedom of speech and that it is the underlying message that is important.
No matter what your feelings towards the rapper, it can not be denied that his music, even the G rated versions, are some of the best songs out there. His latest, most anticipated release, Before I Self Destruct, has been postponed for the past several months. Each time the album nears it’s release date, they decide to push it back again. therefore fans are skeptical that it will actually release on the 30th of June, as scheduled.
November 2008 was the original release date for 50 Cent’s fourth album. It was postponed, as he wanted to get his signals in order and out to a public forum. There is speculation, however, that the album was postponed because of the pending album releases by Eminem and Dr. Dre that had been progressively leaking to the press.
Whether the delays on these albums are some type of publicity stunt, or legitimate in reason remains to be seen. Fans are eagerly awaiting 50 Cents new album, so hopefully this release date will stick.
