Happy Easter! Are you in a good mood of enjoying your Easter holiday? Easter is a very graceful and nice energize as it serves as a break for us to relax from our hard work without long holiday for months. But apart from being a lovely break, Easter, is of course not just about a nice rest.

I bet many people know at least a little bit about the history of Easter. God sent his son Jesus Christ to the world as human’s savior from sins. Jesus devoted himself to save human beings through his death and rebirth in Easter. In Spain during Easter, people say “Feliz Semana Santa!” to wish others a happy Easter. “Feliz” means happy, “Semana” means “week” and “Santa” means “Saints” in Spanish. Easter holiday lasts for 3-4 days but the Spanish people are in the mood of celebrating Easter for a week! The Spanish people must be very good at making themselves feeling ecstatic, they like to ‘prolong’ their holiday mood! (but poor them that their holiday is still that short) But apart from enjoying our holiday and decorating Easter eggs, what do these do to us if we are not Christians?

When Jesus reborn, he bought for us rejoice, forgiveness and rebirth. Easter is a period that allows us to review our past and to forgive those who ill-treat us and those that we do not like. By these, we refresh ourselves.

Even for non-Christians, Easter brings us a peaceful feeling, love and harmony. It gives us good blessings. By doing self-reflection and forgiving those we dislike, we give ourselves chance to experience rebirth, psychologically and spiritually.

Every time we accept our mistakes and try to do better, we improve ourselves by a great deal; every time we accept our enemies and try to forget our hatred towards them, we feel relieved by a whole lot.

Through his advent and death and rebirth, Jesus Christ sacrificed himself to rescue human beings. This is how Easter came to us. The phrase “Feliz Semana Santa!” is a phrase s by people in Spain to wish their friends and relatives a joyful Easter. In Spanish, “Feliz” equals to “happy”, “Semana” equals to “week” and “Santa” means “Saints”, The Spanish people reserve a week for Jesus’ rebirth! However, their Easter holiday also only lasts for a few days! (What a great pityHave they ever thought of prolonging it?) But what if I am not Christian? How are these things relevant to me apart from as vacation and eating Easter eggs?

It is through reflecting and improving ourselves and remissing those we don’t like that we gain happiness and relieve from pressure of hating others.

Easter is a festival full of love and greetings. So for Christians, please keep on appreciating God’s love! For non-Christians, what more to do in your beautiful Easter?
