Depeche Modes upcoming CD Release: Sounds of the Universe
Depeche Mode is set to put out CD number twelve for them. The CD, titled Sounds of the Universe will be released on April 21, and has 13 tracks. It will be released in Germany four days earlier, as well as internationally on April 20th. There are 2 songs that Martin Gore sings, as well as one instrumental track. The first single was recorded in the United States and is called “Wrong.” The track uses drum machines as well as synthesizers, so fans of Depeche Mode will love this.
The band has also recorded five extra tracks which will be featured in a deluxe album version. There will also be old and new demo recordings and will come in a boxed set that includes 3 CDs, a DVD and a couple books. This set will also be available on vinyl.
Depeche Mode are currently a 3 piece, with Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andrew Fletcher. They have been together, performing and releasing albums, since 1980. They are from England, but their popularity is worldwide.
Depeche Mode is launching a worldwide tour called Tour of Universe. The dates start in May beginning in Europe and stopping in United States.
Some early versions of some songs leaked out on the internet, but the band commented that these were rough versions. However some reviewers have received real advanced copies of the final version of the album, so some descriptions that are valid are popping up online. The reviews so far are positive, claiming that the album is closer to their roots. This should be well received as pop music shifts back towards the New Wave sound that Depeche Mode made famous.
