An LCD stand to enhance your living room

Getting An LCD stand for In many homes, the living room is the first room that you will see when you walk into the house. The television is usually the first thing that anyone would notice, followed by the TV stand. The look of the TV stand can either compliment the feel of your home, or totally stick out (in a bad way) like a sore thumb. Being one of the most prominent pieces of furniture at home it pays to make the extra effort in choosing the perfect TV stand. Here are some quick tips in selecting a TV stand than would enhance the look of any room.

The materials the TV stands are made from are a major factor to consider. Wood, metal or steel are some of my favorite TV stands materials as they are strong and are usually very durable. Mateerials such as glass, fiberglass and plastics are also used to make TV stands.

An easy way to select a TV stand that would augur well in a space is to select a stand that is made of the same or similar materials as the other furniture in the room. If you have a set of modern furniture that has prominent shiiny steel frames, you should try complimenting them with a metal or steel TV stand. If glass is the predominating element in the room, they you should get your hands of a stand that has many glass surfaces.

Colors are also another major consideration when it comes to selecting a stand. The color of the stand should match the color palate of the room. If you are unsure of what colors to buy, black is usually a safe color to choose. If you plan to mix and match your colors, unless you know what you are doing, it is best to consult an interior designer or some other color expert.

When it comes to the dimension of your TV size, the general rule is the bigger the better. You would never know when you may decide to upgrade to a larger TV so it is better to get a stand that could accommodate TVs larger than the one you already have. A larger stand also means more storage space to keep your DVD players, amplifiers and DVDs.

TV stands that are long and slim are better than those that are short and wide as long rectangles gives out the illusion of a larger space. Short and wide rectangles make the room feel small and cluttered.your living room
