Canon EOS Rebel XS digital SLR camera is a digital single-lens reflex, AF/AE camera with built-in flash. It features 10.1 megapixel CMOS imaging sensor, which enables the camera to produce quality images at fast speed. It features large control buttons and easy-to-see operating panel indications, which makes it easy to use. And whats more, it is the smallest Canon EOS digital SLR camera.

It employs Canons latest technology, the 10.1 megapixel APC-S size CMOS sensor, for outstanding images. Working along with Canons exclusive DIGIC III Image Processor, it can capture images with exceptional clarity and tonal range. The CMOS or complementary metal oxide semiconductor sensor in Canon digital cameras offers the most pixels in its class. Its DIGIC III Image Processor is an electronic system designed to give the camera its incredible combination of speed and image quality.

Canon EOS Rebel XS digital SLR camera is the lightest and most compact Canon EOS digital SLR camera to date. It measures only 4.96 x 3.8 x 2.4 and weighs under 16 ounces. This, however, does not take away controls and displays expected in any EOS camera.

This powerful camera provides precise operation and excellent performance with effortless speed. It offers continuous shooting of up to 3.0 frames per second and 514 large JPEGs or 5 RAW files in bursts. With its instant start up, fast auto focus and minimal shutter lag, it is considered as one of the fastest cameras today.

Shoot images and view functions clearly with its large 2.5-inch TFT LCD color monitor. This camera is best for shooting in bright sunlight, for Live View composition and for viewing camera settings. It features a Live View function and different camera settings like AF, ISO, Metering, AF Point selection and flash options.

With the Auto Focus featured in Canon EOS Rebel XS digital SLR camera, you can operate flawlessly even in lower-light and lower-contrast settings. This high-speed, professional-caliber AF offers wide area 7-point AF system. It has four modes which are the One-shot AF, AI Focus AF, AI Servo AF and Manual. You can also use the Live View function with 5x or 10x magnification for manual focusing.

The Live View function was installed for viewing subject directly on the screen and for easy magnification. It has two Auto Focus modes which are the Quick mode and the Live mode. You can use this function to shoot remotely via a computer using a USB connection. You can also use it to magnify any part of the scene 5x or 10x for precise manual focus.

Canon EOS Rebel XS digital SLR camera features image-quality tools, which are Picture Style Settings and Auto Lighting Optimizer.
Canon Rebel XSi Digital SLR Camera is a compact digital single lens reflex camera with a 12.2-megapixel large single-plate CMOS sensor. Also known as EOS Kiss X2 and EOS 450D, it belongs to Canons Electro-Optical System (EOS) line of digital SLR cameras. It is an upgrade to the EOS 400D/Digital Rebel XTi. You can use it with Canon EF and EF-S lenses.

It uses a high-resolution, large single plate CMOS sensor that has 12.2 megapixels. Its CMOS sensor offers clear images and great tonal range. It features DIGIC III and uses an APS-C (Advanced Photo System type-C) image sensor format. These features were redesigned to enable the camera to shoot with incredible speed and great image quality.

It features 14-bit A/D converter that generates extremely smooth-toned digital data. Not only does it enhance image quality, it also speeds up all camera operations for intuitive operation. For it to generate the best possible color and tonal detail, both RAW and JPEG images are processed with the rich 14-bit gradation. With lens attached, the marked focal length is increased to 1.6x.

It features a new Auto Optimization for superior highlight-shadow control. This feature enables you to lighten dark areas of a scene while keeping the other areas tonal details. This option is available in all shooting modes such as P, Tv, Av and Manual.

Considered as one of the fastest camera available today, it has continuous shooting speed of approximately 3.5 shots per second. It can produce JPEG images of up to 53 shots and 6 RAW files in bursts. It has instant start up time and minimal shutter time lag.

Sporting a large and bright 3.0-inch LCD monitor, it features Live View function that you can use remotely via computer through a USB connection. Live View function allows you to magnify any part of the scene by 5x or 10x. Also, you can choose grid overlay to keep your subject straight in the picture.

The advanced and adaptable Auto Focus can be used in two ways: Quick mode and Live mode. For shooting in low light, it is ideal to use the Quick mode as it uses the 9-point AF system. Also, it is perfect for capturing action. On the other hand, the Live mode is a contrast-based AF system, which deals with the sharpness of the image.

The storage devices used in Canon Rebel XSi digital SLR camera are Secure Digital or SD and Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards. It is notable for being the first EOS digital SLR camera to use both memory cards. Another remarkable feature is its improved viewfinder that provides increased brightness, large overall view and increased clarity. With its Display-off sensor that turns off the LCD whenever you shoot, you are always ready.

Aside from the above mentioned features, there is also the 35-zone TTL full-aperture as well as the E-TTL II flash metering system. These metering systems help you enhance image exposure. The package also comes with a disc containing helpful Canon software programs. The camera also enables you to use other Canon lenses and accessories.
