10 Million Gamers Can’t Possibly Be Wrong or Could They
The online gaming industry is huge. It is hard not to notice it since it has exceeded fifty billion dollars and is still growing with no sign of slowing down.Exotic online worlds have been created by these companies. Here you can escape your hum drum everyday existance and experience some real excitement. The most popular of these creations is World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer Online role playing Game(MMORPG) in which literally hundreds, and even thousands of players are in the game at the same time, playing in different worlds or even each other. The players battle against each other,or can band together for their common benefit as they battleclash in different worlds.
The fourth and latest edition of World of Warcraft is Wrath of the Litch King.Orcs and Humans, being the initial introductory edition, was [launched|released in 1994. The World of Warcraft takes place in the world of Azeroth. In the game, Azeroth is referred to as The Realm. The later version of the game,Warcraft III;The Frozen Throne was released in 2004.This was just in time to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the game’s owners and developers, Blizzard Entertainment. There is now over 10 million people worldwide playing the game, making it one of the most popular games of all time.
To take part in the game the player controls a character as it explores territories it roams over.As the character does this, it can fight enemies and interact with other players. The aim here is to amass gold, acquire more powers, and get articles which can be magical in nature. By doing all of this the player gains experience thusly heightening the player’s power level.
The first installments of the game had merely 60 power levels. The Burning Crusade expansion pack brought this up to 70 power levels. The release of The Wrath of the Litch King raises the available power levels to 80.You can engage other players in combat or you may fight an adversary generated by the program.Fighting other players can be loads of fun since they are doing their best to beat you. This also makes the game interactive and unpredictable.
Some will see likenesses in the characters of World of Warcraft and those found in Dungeons and dragons. Some say that Dungeons and Dragons was the template from which World of Warcraft was created. Though many similarities can be seen, I will not harp on the point in this writing.
Putting together a character involves some choices. The player has to [choose|opt|decide|select|pick from eight character races. Then the player has to opt from nine character classes. Two factions separate the races. You have the Horde which include Orcs, Trolls, Undead, Tauren and Blood Elves. Then there is the Alliance whose members [are|include|consist of|are made up of the Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves, Night Elves and Draenei.
The character classes that the player may choose from are Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Shaman, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Druid and Warrior.A new class, the Death Knight was made available with the newest version of the game called Wrath of the Litch King.
Two groups divid the characters in Warcraft. These are player characters, in which the group is made up of real life people, and non player characters or NPC which are generated by the game. The nonplayer characters or NPC come in three types. These are friendly, hostile, and neutral.
While playing the game, characters learn to develop abilities which are non combat qualities. These qualities are the players profession. There are two types of professions; primary and secondary.
Another thing that can have a direct effect on the player’s advancement and ultimate rewards are the reputation levels. The player achieves|attains|acquires|gets to| the higher reputation levels by conquering a given region or overcoming mighty foes. The benefits of a higher reputation include buying at a discount at the vendors and getting difficult to acquire objects. Just think of it like street cred.
